WHAT IS THE MICROBIOTA?
The microbiota is the set of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, yeasts) that live on our skin. Its balance is very important for the well-being of the scalp. However, the equilibrium conditions between these microorganisms can be disturbed by numerous factors, such as diet, lifestyle, use of aggressive detergents… etc. A disturbed microbial composition, that is in conditions of dysbiosis, can promote the upper hand of pathogenic species and thus give rise to inflammation, redness, itching, leading to the development of some bacteria and consequent scalp imperfections such as dry dandruff, greasy dandruff, etc… The use of products that help balance the microbiota is the first step for less prone to anomalies.
